Aerial Yoga

It's Yoga, there are hammocks...what's not to like?!

Using a soft-fabric hammock suspended from the ceiling allows the opportunity to really explore the stability/surrender qualities inherent within the practice of Yoga and fine-tune the principles of alignment.  Inversions can be practiced freely with less strain on the body and more confidence as the hammock provides a physical assist and acts as primary spotter.

Aerial Yoga asanas (poses) include floating and flying variations and the finishing Savasana relaxation is a treat of unparalleled proportions!

I teach three classes a week at Motionhouse Dance Studio in Spencer Yard, Leamington Spa...

  • Tuesday evenings from 6.30 - 7.45pm,
  • Tuesday evenings from 8 - 9.15pm
  • Saturday afternoons from 2 - 3.15pm

Largely, students sign up for a whole month of classes, effectively renting the hammock for a month. Classes work out at £15 per session, thus a month of classes (assuming four Tuesdays in the month, for example) is £60.

Fancy giving it a whirl but don't want to commit to an entire month? Or, desperate to have a go but the classes are always fully booked?

I have a Stand-by list for this very situation. On occasion, a hammock will open up within an already booked out session. This may be planned in advance so there'll be plenty of notice or it could be the result of a student's illness and would, therefore, involve rather less notice. As soon as I hear of the availability, I send an email notification to everyone on the Stand-by list and then you can bag yourself a hammock and swing to your heart's delight!

To add your name to the Stand-by list, email me to that effect using the form on the "Contact" page or use the other contact details provided.

The small print...please read carefully...

Aerial Cancellation policy

Since there are only five available hammocks per session, please be aware that by reserving a hammock for your use, you are agreeing to pay for all sessions within the reserved period.  If, for any reason, you are unable to attend you can invite a friend to attend in your stead or instruct me to send a notification to the Stand-by list to try and find a student to fill in for you.  Should that be successful, the attendee will then pay for that session and I will re-imburse you.  However, if I am unable to find someone to take the hammock, you will be required to pay for the missed class.

Thank you for your co-operation.
